I am blessed to have the most amazing friends. I met Andy in ‘92 and Lori in ‘94 at Texas A&M. They are precious to Nabors and I. In fact, their family has become part of ours. We adore each moment (even the hard ones) that we get to spend with this couple. Their boys are also a part of us. We have been at every party that each of them has ever had. These are from Sam’s second birthday. I have so many that I want to share that I will have several posts with them in it. Blaggs, we love and adore you…thank you for doing life with us!

I had the priviledge of shooting this precious family last weekend. Melanie is a photographer, too. So, there was extra pressure with these! 
We went to downtown McKinney and played! The kids had fun, and we found the greatest candy shop ever! We took some of the family, and then we took some for Melanie’s website. When I get the address, I will add it on here.
Thank you Melanie & Tyron for letting me spend time with you and your family! They are adorable!

A Delight

Last weekend when I was coming home from a shoot, I spotted these hot air balloons, and I nearly had a wreck to get these shots! I have been longing to go to a balloon festival to take pictures for a while now. Nabors and I tried to go see some a few months ago, but it got rained out. Needless to say, I was delighted to be able to capture these! I still want to go to the festival to take landing and taking off pictures. Soon…very soon!

Looking Forward…

A new year! I absolutely love coming to a new year. Yes, I know there are those out there that think the world is falling apart. However, I can see God’s hand moving, and I choose to celebrate!
I am looking forward to the good that will happen in 2009:
I am going to paint the master bedroom, master bathroom, half bath, and game room (maybe the living room and hall…we shall see!)
I want to book at least two shoots per month.
I am going to learn to be a better photographer.
I am going to learn how to knit. (not sure where that came from, but why not?!?!)
I am going to be a better, more loving, compassionate, and empathetic wife. It is such a blessing to be with the man whom I am married to, but I don’t treat it that way.
I am going to read my bible more daily and go on at least dates a month with Jesus. When I was single, I used go several times a week to Starbucks and hang out with Jesus. I called them dates…it was a precious time!
I look forward to working out at least three times a week.
I look forward to see what God will do with Nabors and I this year. I am sure it will be a ride!
According to Nabors, 2009 is going to be life changing! I can not wait!

Yes, there’s a party going on right here…a celebration…of friends and a new year! Andy and I have known each other since our freshman year at A&M (1991), and Lori came to A&M my junior year and we have been inseperable since then. They are such precious friends, and we we are with them…Fun times!! Lori & Andy, we adore both of you! Happy New Year!!!
